Take part

When: Sunday 18 September 2016

Where: Handsworth, West Midlands

The Handsworth fun run is returning for the third year in memory of Pete Hayes, who passed away from a heart condition in 2012, aged 25.  He suffered from a congenital heart defect which was diagnosed when he was 12 years old.

Pete lived and grew up in Handsworth, and supported the BHF throughout his life. Now, his family and friends have formed the Handsworth BHF Fundraising Group to organise this annual event as a tribute to Pete and to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Mending Broken Hearts appeal.

Join us and the local community to celebrate Pete’s life and the lives of others who have been affected by heart disease with a 10km fun run through the lovely landscaped gardens at Handsworth Park.
